Personal preference, IMO the Xbox One controller has the best controller layout but it feels cheap and plasticy compared to the PS4 controller I use, which has more of a "rugged" feel to it

Also depends on the game, for most games I'd use a controller as they're mainly console ports

I have most controllers from the major console manufacturers on my desk but I highly prefer the Xbox 360 controller for everything except PC games and second is the Nintendo Switch Pro controller. Both feel durable, well made and have good layouts.l I feel that the DS4 is a bit too big for my tastes and the Xbox one indeed does feel cheap.

BUt most games I prefer to play with keyboard and mouse. Mostly only racegames and platform games are the type of games I use a controller for.

The one controller isn't cheap at all. it 'feels' cheap because it uses a different plastic.
But it doesn't bend or flex at all (unless you actually try to, which is unreasonable) and the dpad is 10 times better than the 360's atrocious mushy dpad.

The dpad on the 360 is indeed **** but the rest feels better imo. The triggers feel more solid especially.Thats why i think the Xbox one controller feels cheap mostly.

I would say the Switch pro controller is the best but that one doesnt have analog triggers which are kinda essential for racing games.

Due to ease of compatibility and overall comfort, either the Xbox 360 or Xbox One Controller will suffice.
