    I like Norton. Never let me down. If it annoys you by disrupting what you're doing, just remember how bad a virus would be.

    Kaspersky Antivirus is the best in my opinion. And as |crash| stated, there are tons of threads related to your subject already.

    the best anti virus is a switch to linux, or mac os x.

    nice masterchef, but i need windows on this machine. i know there are many other threads, but there is new updates n stuff. i also dont want it bog down my system.

    NOD32 or Kaspersky are your only real choices imo if you have serious concerns about viruses. NOD32 taking the lead. See http://www.av-comparatives.org/ for why.

    Kaspersky. Norton and McAfee are resource hogs.
