Yeah, well, my V6J 8-cell batt keeps going down 4% at each full discharge.

So I don't do full discharges anymore :) Until I get my older notebook from service, and I then I send this one back in... again.

I bought my V6J back in May - I noticed my battery life was going down so I installed NHC for the first time - reports 25% wear.

I have the 5200mah battery, so I am not using some V6V battery like SEB had.
My laptop runs off of AC most of the time ... I do use battery a few times a day, but it is mainly powered up. So I am wondering why?

I notice that my laptop charges to 100% - then I see the charging icon again - then it shows 100%, then charges some more...

Asus is getting a call from me on Monday! I love this laptop but this makes me angry!!!!!!

darktiger: did you have battery in the computer when you are using ac? Your battery is charging at 99%. This is the reason why the charging icon show.

eh... Yes. The battery was in the computer while on AC... But why does it fall to 99% while on AC?

I have a V6J and just noticed that somewhere in the last 2 days, my wear level jumped from 6% to 11%. And I've only had it for a few months :(

It seems like everyone is having a major increase in battery wear levels, are we all using the same program? I'm using NHC.

But I can't blame NHC for my battery wear... I installed it AFTER I noticed Windows reporting less life than I used to have....

I own an Asus W5F i got 2 batteries with it 2400 mAh and a 4800 mAh, the 4800 mAh by NHC is a 5200 mAh, so basicly when it loses about 9% then it will be as rated... So Asus under rated my battery in the first place so when it drops they can say "It's actually perfectly normal" but NHC will report a wear of around 10%... So check the rated and NHC mesured mAh levels not just %

I also have a an Asus W5F dating from May 19. The 2400 mAh battery shows wear of 7%, according to MobileMeter.
