I am thinking of replacing my hard disk with a flash memory!

I bought the ata adapter for the Compact flash memory and I was looking for a good memory.

The problem which I faced was the speed and size, A 2 gb memory is enough for me to run windows XP, and the speed should a minimum of 30mb/sec to obtain a reasonable performance similar to a hard disk.
The fastest cf card I found was 150x= 22mb/sec (read), while I found mmc memories of the speed 200x=30mb/sec (read).
As a solution I was thinking of using an adapter to transform the mmc to a cf memory.
I was wondering if the adapters that transform the mmc to a cf memory can preserve the same speed of the mmc.

Some mmc to cf adapter have the limit of 16mb/sec transfer rate!

anyone knows about any faster adapter?
