    Hello everyone.

I've bought this laptop Alienware 15 r3 three years ago (november 2016).

Last year I worked in my office via ethernet network (gigabit network) and everything was OK. The connection was 1 Gbps. After that we took a good AC router so I stopped using the lan cable till today. Today I decided to connect to it again (not WIFI), because I had work with very big files which I had to transfer to shared folder. After I connected the LAN cable (cat 6) and started to transfer the files I was shocked, because the connection was 100 Mbit instead of a gigabit. Checked the switch (Netgear GS724T) and only my system was on 100 mbit connection. All other computers at my office were with green light (gbit connection). I decided that maybe the configuration of the NIC is changed, so I opened Dev. Manager and checked Speed & Duplex and what to see - "1 Gbps Full duplex" was missing. The driver which I was using was the latest 9.0.0.49. I tried to roll back to 9.0.0.42/46 but nothing changed. Tried with another Lan cable (CAT 6A) and again - nothing. Tried both cables to connect into other system, but again on that other system the connection was 1 Gbps. Tried to reset my network adapters - nothing. I am out of ideas what is going on with that KILLER E2400 crap.

Do you have any ideas what could cause this issue?

    Thank you in advance, folks!

    Hi guys,

Just FYI I fixed the problem.

The problem was in the connector. Two of the pins were pressed and sunk inwards. I just lifted them a bit and voila - the internet now is back to 1 Gbps.

    Have a nice day!
