How is it? As far as UI, scanning, etc.

Will download when I get home.

I am running my first scan on it now. The layout is nice and simplistic. It seems to be using about the amount of ram as AVG 8 was using. Scanning right now it is using between 44-48MB RAM.

CPU usage is sporadic from 17% - 54%

It seems to use less ram then AVG 8 did while it is not scanning. When I scanned it came up with 1 warning, but did not allow me to do anything with it or tell me what it was.

    Two changes I like:

    1. Clicking "Start AntiVir" opens Avira faster than in 8

    2. Scan is way faster and uses less resources

I'm guessing to get rid of the nag screen. Same way as avira 8?

Version 9 adds adware/ spyware scanning. I think that they removed the splash screen from system start up, so no need to disable it...
Edit: The splash screen still appears.
