    Heya,

i'm currently playing around with my first thinkpad ever, the T410 with integrated intel graphics. now i found the first big problem: i can't get audio through displayport. i got a dp/hdmi adapter which should be able to carry the audio signal. there's "intel display audio" together with a "connexant 20585 SmartAudio HD" in the systems tab, but i can't manage to get the intel as default device :/

has someone got audio with displayport and integrated graphics working?

ps: sorry for the bad englisch

Did you set the audio device under Playback Devices to DP?

Are you 100% sure? I got my DP->HDMI adapter delivered today and I just tried it out with my T510 with integrated graphics, attached via HDMI to my TV, and I was able to get audio over HDMI, though my TV speakers. At first the audio came by default out of my laptop speakers, but I went into the Sound control panel, and it listed my TV, and I set it as default.

According to ThinkVantage System Update, I have v 8.15.10.2008 of the Intel HD Graphics Driver.

    Hey Mutnat,

this is really great news for me. Searched the night for someone who could show me a nv-t410 (really need audio). i just have two questions: could you please do a quickstep guide? (just 2-3 pictures of the screens of what it should look when it's working) and which adapter do you have?

    many many thanks in advance
    andreas

There's no display port on the x200t/x201t, only VGA. You'd have to buy one of those stereo cables, plug it into the headphone port, and the other end to your tv/stereo equipment/what-have-you.

Thanks for the link mutnat! I will order one, just in case for the future. ;)
