I Modified Original Desktop Driver To Work With Radeon Mobile Card. I use Driverheaven Mobility Modder To Modify Original Desktop Version Driver.I Decide To Share It With People Who Have Trouble For Finding Latest Version Driver.

I will update this thread when AMD(ATI) release new driver for Radeon graphic cards. Please replay if you found any bugs (Install Errors) or if you successfully install it.

You also can modify ATI desktop driver to work with ATI mobile VGA cards using Driverheaven mobility modder . Following download links are only for people who don't want to DIY. ;)

You say you modified the ati drivers using mobility modder from driverheaven.
Why not just say they can use the mobility modder themselves to modify any drivers not just the ones you "modified".

Its like saying "I modified the nvidia 180.84 using the modded inf from laptopvideo2go you can download it at [link to rapidshare]"

I've been using the Modded Drivers for a while now. I haven't had any problems except these 3 bugs:

    1. Video card is displayed as HD3450 instead of HD3470.

    2. As far as I'm concerned, there is no performance difference, except with Trackmania Nations Forever. Back in September when I installed version 8.10, I did a benchmark and the fps was 1 point lower on average with the modded drivers compared to the factory ones. I haven't tried Trackmania on the newest drivers to compare though.

    3. NFS: Undercover would sometimes crash with the 8.11 version installed and Vista would say it was the ATI driver's fault. I haven't seen that problem occur with the newest drivers.

As of now, I have the 9.1 version installed and it's running fine. I don't see any noticeable difference but I mainly keep up-to-date for bug fixes and things like that. So, if you're paranoid that the modded drivers would somehow blow up your laptop, then I guess you can stick with the factory drivers.

Ive got a question. Does anyone with a native resolution of 1920x1200 get to use 1680x1050 without getting the scaling issue ? (display doesnt fit to the whole laptop screen).

That doesnt work. Its a known issue that a lot people have (atleast with the M17). So checking to see if other people have the same problem too.

Actually, never mind, I recommend updating the drivers for people who game. I forgot to mention, with the modded drivers, you get A LOT more options in terms of resolutions in games. Before, it would usually be 800x600, 1024x768, and 1600x900 but with the modded drivers, I get more options, especially in the wide-screen department.

It's actually the only big reason I kept them. My laptop's video card cannot handle new games at the native resolution of 1600x900, so I usually have to turn it down, usually to 1280x720. With the modded drivers, I can lower the resolution but still be able to keep the 16:9 ratio.

I think low end cards actually suffer from lack of process power not the driver, so updating driver doesn't help at all.

I think you're misinterpreting what I'm trying to say. In games, with the modded drivers, I have more resolution options than with the factory drivers, meaning I don't have to play at the 1600x900 resolution, which is too demanding for the video card, I can turn it down (to usually 1280x720, and still maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio). With the factory drivers, I don't have this option, I'd have to play at 1024x768 with massive black borders on either side.
