That's too warm, but it is GE62 where the heat can be easily felt at times. If you upgrade to a more premium model such as MSI GT series or ASUS GM501 then you will definitely fare better since they are all at least $2000.

Did you notice that the power cord didn't have plastic wrap around it? Also, did you notice that C:/eSupport only has one directory in it and that directory only has PDFs in it (i.e., all the driver/software files are missing)

I bought four of them from Costco, and all of them had visible specks of dust the sizes of dead pixels.

On another note. I have also bought three of the -XS74 models from Best Buy (two were returned, one I just got today...). All three had the same issue with specks of dust. I am on the verge of having to buy an eight Zephyrus M. This is really frustrating...

Did you have a chance to take pictures of the dead pixels? That's crazy high amount of failure in a batch.

    Hello all,

I'm typing on my 1 week old Zephyrus M GM501GS. I've got an issue with my touchpad, its really bad in that it looses tracking randomly and tracks poorly.

I suspect its got something to do with the drivers? In the device manager under "Mice and Other Pointing Devices" I have "HID-compliant device", I would have thought I'd see something along the lines of ELAN or Synamtics?

    Any advice?

i just got the GM501 and had a question. I'm running it in GSYNC mode and noticing screen tearing when not playing games. It mainly happens on windows desktop. Any idea if my unit is defective or if its a driver issue? I'm on the most recent nvidia drivers 10/4/18.

What variant of the GM501 are you running? The GS or the GM?
    Also, what's your BIOS version?
