I like this laptop by far but this touch pad keeps annoying me. Sometimes it glitches and cursor moves too fast in unwanted directions for a few seconds. This can repeat after several minutes.
I mean, for 1k$ machine, srsly?
Do you think its hardware or software?
I tried reinstalling Precision TouchPad, didn't help.

Unfortunately, this happens to all metal case laptops from Asus. Return it if you can (and buy another model from another brand).

Mine is a UX310CA, same problem. But I can't return it because I moved to another country.

I'm not sure, but it seems to be not software related, but hardware. I tried with Windows 10 and Linux (Ubuntu and Arch), same results.

I would like to find a solution for that... I wish someone can help us. =\

    Cursor moves like crazy too?
I bought this laptop in another country, as far as I know Asus has global warranty. I just wish this was software, behavior is too strange to be hardware - related.

Yeh, moves like crazy... and then, if you leave it alone for about a minute, it backs to normal.

Then, after a time (could be minutes or hours), here you go again. This happens in Linux, Windows, what ever... no software related.

So, you bought in another country? Same boat then...

I guess the warranty will not help us, because I saw some comments in a youtube video of this issue... they said the laptop returned with the same problem after sending it to Asus.

Maybe it is a design flaw that needs a non conventional solution, I heard something about disassemble it and remove some kind of plastic envelope in the touchpad, but I really don't know.

    =\

I will never buy Asus again, neither laptops or smartphones.

Well, this is very sad. From one of me most popular laptop manufacturer. I wanted to buy ux410 but then decided to add some money to buy 430 =_=
Same here, I think my next laptop will be Dell probably

Well... according the support: "you should update drivers".

I installed Linux again and everything is fine, it still happens but I don't notice so often.

Yeah... there is no solution for that, sadly.

    You should try Linux.

I also have the same case with Asus ux410uqk. After many install, update driver. I removed the battery and inserted it again, the touchpad reacted normally. But after a while, it is faulty.
