Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 Owner's Lounge

    Its an all new laptop so I was just wondering if its like this on all of them or just mine. I case i should return it or if its normal.

    Hmmm, good point, Asus might have left out a part when assembling the lid that allows it to push in further than intended.

    Maybe someone can help him answer that? :)

    It's the same in my ux510. I feel hot air only on the right side of the rear, but maybe the second fan is for bring air inside the notebook.

    Is it the same for the others that have this notebook???

    Does your aluminium on the lid flex alot? Can you push it down a couple of centimeters in the center?

    a couple of centimeters? Is your laptop made from playdoh

    All aluminum clad laptop lids will flex a little. There's empty space between the lcd and the sheet metal. it should still be pretty rigid though.

    Mine is sadly not that rigid. I guess ill have to send it in.

    Would you please make / post / link a short video - well lit - so we can see the depth of depression from pressing?

    I've never seen a multi-centimeter movement on a lid... that's very odd :)

    Its more like 1cm probably. Got a little mad yesterday so i might have over exaggerated. The laptop also came with dirt on the lid and above the keyboard so i ordered a new one and will be making a return on the other one.
