I have a 2013 Asus laptop. The screen will go blank when I move it then awhile later comes on. I removed the top and nothing appears to be loose or disconnected. The fan is running. I have disconnected the battery and re-installed, nothing works. Its comes and goes..

Try removing the memory modules and reseat one at a time, see if it makes any difference.

When you move/pivot the screen? Or when you move the entire laptop?

When the screen blacks out, is the laptop still running?

If you hold it in bright light can you see something on the screen at all? Like a really dark display? Or is it full on black? Does it work with a monitor?

It sounds like the video cable. Either it's bad or the connection is. The cables seldom fail, so try to reseat the connection (they tend to come loose at the panel more often than at the board).

This is why I asked if he still had a really dim display or just plain black when he holds it under bright light. If there's still a display just really dark then it's likely not the display cable but the power to the backlight.

Ok, then it's most likely a defective LVDS cable, otherwise defective LCD panel's circuit.

So when you slightly twist the screen it goes black..nothing is running in the back ground of the screen.
I just found out that if you start to close the screen and twist it at the same time it comes back to life.
I can buy the same one new for $225.00 at walmart. Not worth the fix?????

Yes, it's cheaper to buy a new one, but it also depends on the current market value of your notebook.
