Exactly. Clevo makes really decent laptops, but their fans are low quality.

Anyway, gt73vr has good reviews also if you get the gtx1070 version, so I guess either would be a good option.

My g752vs is really acceptable in the noise department. Specially with undervolting, that keeps the temperatures of the cpu lower.

I'm sure you have seen or heard about all the failed fans in some of the Msi Models:cool: Quality can mean so much.

No doubt about it. From my limited experience Asus uses some of the best fans in the business.

There were even some users here that changed their p870 fans with Asus fans to improve noise development. It's my main critique of clevo, for someone that also values the noise that a laptop produce and not only performance at any cost.

Msi has some low quality laptops in the cheap versions. But I'm guessing it's not the case with the gt73vr series. Or was it?

When I posted about failed Msi fans. A good portion Gt73vr is affected. High clicking noise.

Well, I didn't see GT73vr with my own eyes but I saw GT72vr and I was disgusted because of the material and the build quality of the laptop. It seems that I need to try my luck with G752vs and pray to get a less backlight bleeding screen.

Do you think that within 1-2 months, will we get an announcement of the newer version of G752vs? I do not remember the Asus policy but as far as I remember they always announce the gaming series around August, September?

How good is the cooling? Is it good at stock and overclocked?
    Cheers :)

I am currentyl trying to get may G752VS setup with an Oculus Rift.

Currently I cannot even get the two sensors to work reliably on the USB-ports. One sensor is always either reverting to USB 2.0 or I receive a bad tracking error message.

I am thinking about using the Thunderbolt 3.0 with a USB c- to Type A-Hub. Does anyone have experience with this setup and can recommend a good hub?
