I am still computerless since May. Retailer cheated me. They first said that G703GI is ok to provide but then they said no. Now hopefully they give me cash back.

I want to ask you if to go and buy G703GI (8750h CPU) for 4000€ or 12 months guaranteed (kinda refurbished) G703VI for 2500€? Apart from the CPU, VI model has 16gb ram, GI model has 32gb ram, backpack and mouse (rog impact) as a gift.

    Final Update

I got 100% refund from the retailer. Although it was late, it was not Asus' mistake but retailers. They delayed me a lot. I am quite satisfied with the end result.

Now looking other retailers. G703GI and MSI GT75 8RG are very expensive. They got around 400-500€ raise from the previous generation.

If I find a cheaper G703VI, should I prefer it?

    Just FYI.
Laptop returned from 4th RMA , with same overheating issue.
After complaining to Asus, they extended my warranty for 6-months (but is only valid for their repair center...greedy bastards).
So, I've send laptop for another RMA.
If you have time, wait till 4th for quarter, for laptops with new Nvidia GPUs 11xx series:

    Hi,

I am without a gaming computer now (I have a Samsung tablet only atm). I also decided to wait till 4th quarter for Nvidia 11xx series unless I found a perfect deal for the current models. I might buy one of the old models as a second hand if I can find with a reasonable price.

I'm pretty much on same boat since March (using 13" Chromebook).
I'm also waiting for GTX 11xx series (or equivalent from AMD) and then decide, between buying new laptop (for sure not Asus) or build small (mini atx) PC.

My laptop returned from 5th RMA (yes, fifth!) and not only wasn't repair properly, those "incompetent bastards" from repair center make it run worst.
Now GPU runs 6-8ºC hotter than before, and Light Bar doesn't work anymore...

    Looks like 6th RMA incoming!
Don't buy anything from Asus people, you may deeply regret that decision like I do.

So, after 2 weeks collecting dust in Repair Center by my laptop, Asus finally offer replacement which I've accepted.
Since then, another 2 weeks passed and nothing, no tracking number, no explanation for delay, no answer for my emails.
    Typical sh*** Asus customer service.

Finally got replacement for my laptop and sold it right away on eBay.
After all those months, full of lies and false promises, this is my farewell to Asus:

It was more complicated for you since you bought the device from another country and better later than never, they gave you a replacement. Your retailer was also the problematic one here instead of Asus as far as I see. I also got my cash back within 2-3 months and mostly because of the retailer.

I hope you will enjoy the new brand and your new device.
