What's about the Kingston HyperX KHX16S9P1K2/16 mentioned earlier in this thread? Any further experiences so far?

    Hello everybody,

For sometime i follow this thread, i have a ASUS N56VM (specs are lower than the N56VZ version), after reading this thread i buy 16GB from G.SKILl and IT WORK PERFECTLY for more than 3 weeks now, i made various stress tests anda every its perfect. So my advise for you all FORGET THE CORSAIR VENGENCE for this machine.

And i didn't update my bios (Ver 214)

Thank you all, hope that will help someone.

So that's enough for me, i gonna get Corsair memory back to the shop and get my money. I will go to another store with my laptop, try another memory and bye one, that will be ok inside N56VZ.
I only lost money and warranty (but i know that N56VZ will not be broken without any help :) ). Do dot make this mistake again.

    Hi there!
So, I bought two Kingston KVR1333D3S9/8G plates. Each one consist of 16 chips ELPIDA J4208EBBG -DJ-F 120406BRR20. Now it works good, BIOS can see it.

I've upgraded today my N56VZ with G.Skill F3-1600C11D-16GSQ, then tested new RAM with MemTest86+ for four hours: no errors.
Then I loaded a couple of virtual machines and filled RAM to 12 GB, used them for a while without any problem.
I'll have to test and use it for a little while yet, but I'm quite confident the upgrade is fine.
BTW, my BIOS is ver. 211 (and I know an owner that installed the same G.Skill with ver. 215)

I agree about Corsair Vengeance: unfortunately several people had bad luck with them lately, trying to upgrade N56VZ.
On the contrary, I've never heard of any N56 upgrading failure with this kind of G.Skill.

I confirm with my N56VZ-S4066V (Win7 version), BIOS Vers. 216, I just installed these Kingston chips, booting them without hickups and the 16 GB shows up in the BIOS and Windows 7 as well. I'm running Memtest86+ 4.2 since 10 min, no errors so far.

EDIT: Now reaching 5 hours of memtest86 testing, it still looks fine. I will end it after reaching the 2nd pass.

I found those RAM at a reasonably price:

    16GB kit (8GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 upgrades for ASUS N56VZ-S4242 Laptop/Notebook, CT3768808 from Crucial.com

That memory is guaranteed compatible with our laptop. Anyone can confirm that?

Does anybody knows if those rams works fine with N56VZ?

Otherwise I found the Kingston KTA-MB1600/8G but they sold 2 modules separately...
