I have, but only because I wanted to........ I was in Italy last year and was going to visit a guy I knew at Asus there anyway.... I had a problem and they took care of it in their Milan office..... I was there to pick it up, but basically it would work like it would in the US or any other country......... the problem you ask? You need to make sure you speak whatever language they speak....... you need to be fluent in Chinese to work at Asus - so that, or whatever the native tounge is...... I guess that and you need to know how to ship your computer when you're in a different country... and you need to have a return address. Everytime I've been in Italy, I've jumped around so much that getting the laptop returned to the most recent hotel might be impossible...... but if you were jumping around in the US from hotel to hotel, you'd see the same problems...... so it's really not different at all.

Here's your only problem....... the country you're in needs to be selling the model you have... or HAVE sold it........ otherwise they're going to have to special order parts and if you're just on vacation you won't have time for that. It's just like people who buy an Asus in Asia and bring it back... if that model never comes here, it's going to be hell trying to get it fixed...... but it will get fixed, that's the important thing.

    Hi.
I live in Denmark (Europe) and I´m thinking of buying one of the new Asus core duo models in the US.

My only concern is if the international warranty would be of any use for me, or in case of a warranty issue would i have to ship it back to the US?

Nope, it's international, so as long as there is a ASUS Service Depot nearby, you can drop it off there.

Asus is enormous..... any country they have an office in - that doubles as a repair center. Asus is the worlds number one maker of motherboards, wireless routers, and dsl modems...... and they're not that far behind in graphics cards, pocket pcs... and they're notebooks and cell phones are stepping things up as well.... So, they've got to have places around the world.... Basically Asus is the only company who offers an international warranty where Asus actually fixes your system....not someone with an Asus hat and shirt who is just a sub contractor..... That's something that's pretty cool.
