    Hello guys,

As a follow up to this thread, the root cause, after months of dealing with it, drills down to the CPU fan.
Under high load, it makes a noise similar to a "grind", most observable when fan duty changes (on spin up and spin down). As I often game on headphones, I did not notice the sound, only the resultant vibration in the chassis.

Curiosity led me to open the bottom cover flap, held down by four screws, which revealed some dust build-up on the fans. Nothing too alarming for a machine that's been in use for a couple months. I used a can of compressed air to clear up the dust under the bottom flap and on the upper surface of the fan. However, the issue still remains.

I have already emailed HIDEvolution about it and will be having a call with them sometime tomorrow for remote support. Over time, these fans may have to be replaced, to be on the safe side.

If anyone else has encountered this, do reply below. It could be an isolated case, or a known defect with the fans.
