    ive been playing black ops and need for speed hot pursuit for a while with these clocks, going to try crysis warhead too. and yes for fun lol

    well black ops and need for speed dont really tax the system, im sure crysis will BSOD lol or i will try 3dmark11, sure that will bsod too lol

    i just beat it again now gpu clocked at 820mhz...i must have a super chip

    Result

    15171 in 3dmark06!

    the 3dmark06 score wont show up, im going to try and push my 5870 to 900 core also...with a 900 core u should be way higher than 13k, did you do the GSOD fix and install the latest 10.12 drivers?

    Never got the GSOD problem, so i guess i never did the fix -my mobo bois is 211, unedited, and my drivers are 10.12. I think what's holding me back is the CPU scores, not even breaking 1.5fps on those. Tips?

    Edit: I applied the fixed bios w/my own modifications (used RBE + ATI winflash, applied 1.2V and 850 / 1100 "defaults"), and got marginal improvement - 14027 marks on the 900 / 1250 clocks.

    its your cpu holding you back...i overclocked my 940qm to 2015mhz and with boost on i get 3.4ghz, i ran it again with gpu clocks lower than yours 820/4200 and got 15,200
    Result

    apparently 3dmark06 loves the cpu, we need to benchmark more with vantage and 3dmark11 for our gpu's
