Asus G71G Owners

    Sounds like the W90Vp-A1 (Q9000, dual 250gb, 6Gb RAM, Blu-Ray, 18.4" screen and you get crossfired 4870s for the price of the HP).

    So basically the HP is really a better deal than the Asus if you take into account the larger screen and remote? It's only a few bucks to add RAM these days.

    Or am I missing something?

    So I just got a Wireless N Router for my G71G-a2 and it's stuck at 54mbps - anyone else having the same problem? I've tried searching around for setting but haven't found something to fix this.

    No, the better deal is still the Asus. The GPU, screen and even warranty on the G71G is MUCH better than the one in the HP.

    ok if someone could help me out i would absolutely appreciate it, how in the world to i revert back to an older version of bios. i stupidly decided to upgrade to 411 for no reason and im having a few issues now that ive done it and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get back to an older version say 406 would be fine any help is appreciated thanks!

    Anyone have any luck with this? I'm reading in other places that this "N" card is having troubles in other units but I'm going to bring back the new router if this laptop really doesn't have an N capable card.

    ok so i have a question i have seen in different places different things can anyone confirm what is the best cpu you can upgrade this too, i have seen several places saying the q9300 but from what i have been told that is a socket 775 cpu and this mobo is a 478 so which one is it can we only upgrade to the q9000 or the q9300?? anyone please would just like to know for future reference especially since quad cores are getting even cheaper since the i7 came out.
