I received my Asus C223 Chromebook today directly from Asus, and while the design is nice, I'm having a tough time figuring out what is up with the display. It's a 1366x768 HD display, but when getting about a foot or so away from the device you can see what look to be small, thin vertical pinstriples almost. Now, this could be totally normal for the product I have. Maybe I'm just seeing pixels. I'm not sure. Aside from the display and the speakers, I like the laptop. I also only paid $230 for the product, which I realize is on the low end of the price spectrum. Is what I'm seeing normal? As I type this I've positioned the screen further back angle-wise and can no longer really notice it. Thoughts?

Might be a screen problem. Can you take a picture and post it here?

Can you push an image to an external display?

Also, do you mean looking at it from a different angle makes the lines less obvious, or that they actually grow fainter if you change the angle of the display?

This could be screen door effect, which is common on lower quality TN panels.

Sorry, guys. I ended up returning it before I could take any photos of the screen. If something wasn't defective with it, it certainly was bad enough I couldn't bear to look at that for the next couple years.
