Brand new laptop, fresh format Win7x64 and latest drivers. Tried the other drivers posted under different PID's, but no go. I feel like this is a driver related issue.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

As instructed in that thread, there was no snp2uvc.inf with the extracted drivers. Also, i tried locating \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\0000\Settings but there was no "settings", therefore i could not find the "flip" value.

Hm, you can try uninstalling the driver, and using the generic windows driver, or using a different one from ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-.

This is usually caused by the wrong driver being installed, but you can look for other registry tweaks that flip the webcam image if you want to keep using the driver you have now.

I've tried uninstalling the driver, but the windows generic driver doesn't even pick it up either.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the correct drivers .

You can search the registry for vflip to change it to 1, or try a different driver or driver version.

There is no vflip value in the registry.

There is no snp2uvc.inf in the lastest driver as suggested by your link. Although, I have dug through some inf files that did come with the driver, and i have some luck. I found these entries,

HKR, Parameters, A04090001, 0, "Image Control"
HKR, Parameters, A04090002, 0, "Image Mirror"
    HKR, Parameters\0409\Image_Mirror, 00000001, 0, " On"
    HKR, Parameters\0409\Image_Mirror, 01000000, 0, " Off"
HKR, Parameters, A04090003, 0, "Image Flip"

Edit: I changed the last line to
HKR, Parameters, A04090003, 1, "Image Flip"
    with no luck.

Well, I had the same problem with our 2 Asus A52Fs.
The Sunyim-Driver from the ASUS.com is the correct, but there is a bug in the Setup-Routine causing the "1.3M Webcam"-Error-Message.
It tries to install a 2.0M-Driver instead the 1.3M-Driver.
To avoid unzip the Sunyim-Zip to a directory and go into Device-Manager.
Then choose update driver for the webcam (Browse for Sunyim-Directory on disk) and then click available drivers and pick manually the 1.3M-Driver and install it. Win7 asks if you want to install despite failing driver-verification, but doesn´t matter.
Reboot and then it should work.
