@kojack Check out the control panel for Synaptics - I remember seeing settings for scroll zone and for two finger scrolling. I don't remember which (if any) was enabled by default.
Unfortunately I can't check it myself as I did not like Win 10 at all and rolled it back to Win 7.

Cool, I have went through all the settings. I may bring it to the LCS and get them to do it. I am very busy trying to get my new business up and running and I just want the bugger to work. The only thing I don't like about w10, is edge. At the moment it's slow, and without any ad blockers. I opened interent exploerer and everything is good with the world again. I can type here and the letters on the screen keep up with my typing. and I can scroll right away. In edge, I have to wait for a million ads to open and then it gets just manageable. So, I removed edge as the browser and went to I.E.

I cannot get the scroll to work. Everything else is good to go. Back on topic a bit, ha ha, I don't think I ever got this question answered. My 7720 has on board video, Can the upgraded screen work with my notebook? I have to install my Bluetooth module, black keyboard and if the screen worked, I was going to buy one and install it to get the higher resolution.

    thanks.

    Starlight5,
Could you please modify the driver for my graphiccard too?

This are the IDs of the graphic adapter:
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE&REV_A1

I tried to add the following lines to the devices.txt
    DEV_0649&SUBSYS_05671025 "NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT "
    DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE "NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT "

And this lines to the ini file:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.0649.0567.1025% = Section012, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_05671025
    %NVIDIA_DEV.0649.0567.10DE% = Section012, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE

But if I start the setup, it tells me, that there is not the correct hardware found.

At the moment I can not play the simplest game, because the card is getting over 110°C hot and then the laptop shutdown.

Which Bios would you propose for the 7720g with this grahiccard?

    Thank you!

@BigT1 I modified the files for you, don't forget to remove .txt from second filename. This card shouldn't overheat. You need to reapply thermal paste, and maybe remove thermal pads if you have any, since they may be causing poor contact between GPU and heatsink. Regarding motherboard BIOS, just use the latest; vBIOS - I'd suggest using the one which came with it. You can try to undervolt it, though.

Is it possible to use 9600M GT with Windows 8.1/10 and 7720Z? I have no problem installing the latest nvidia drivers on Windows 7 but when I switch to one of those two I've mentioned, I can't get it working. After I replace .txt and .ini files, installation starts, the screen blinks and I get message: "NVIDIA Installer Failed". I've tried with couple diffrent drivers, no luck. I didn't have this problem with 8400M GS and Win10.

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE&REV_A1

    Edit:
Also, how can I disable ACPI? My bios version is 1.45 Black Edition 4.0 .

Can anyone confirm that the NVIDIA GT 240M works in this laptop? i'm getting this laptop tomorrow, it comes with an 8600M GT but i want the best card in it wich i found is the GT 240M.

This is the one i'm going to buy: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Gefo...lgo_pvid=9d66f481-cb76-4558-93d8-35141c02d75c

Don't suppose the ATI HD 4650 works? it needs more power though so i guess i'd need a better power brick as well.

I have an brand new Aspire 7720zg, bought in France. Was with 8400m gs, the card died, i tested few ATI cards on it, an 8600gt m, 8600m gs, none work on this laptop.
Few days ago i found an 9600M GT 512 ddr3, v1.0 from an HP, its working.
Was on 1.27 mainboard bios, 30seconds( and beep sounds) appear at startup, update to 1.45 and fix it.
    Install win10, all are working.
Regarding gpu, i modded an driver, v342.01, http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/112600/en-us
    Card stay at 50-60C .

In picture is the inf modded procedure and picture with this videocard.
I put also an SSD OCZ 60gb on it, and 4gb ddr800 transcend( work at 533).
Maybe i will put an P8400 cpu and gave it to my nephew.
