    no probs... how many did you have to socket mod??

    besure to post on hoggie's upgrade link about models upgraded and what CPU you upgraded to...

    all of them had to be moded and only had 512meg (now have 2gig each )of ram in but had dvdrw`s

    great post bigzone, could u please tell me how to mod the cpu socket mines a creamy coloured (like a stanard cpu socket and not pink) just won off e-bay a t5550 667bus cpu.

    ok am a bit lost for words now as i just did one that well i did think would need a *mod* but did not hmm just worked right away

    no mod and it was a light grey/cream

    very strange indeed

    sounds like mine, bought it febuary this year, cpu is in post so will fit when it arrives, both socket p so cant undesrtand the need to modify anything?#

    hi welcome to the forum btw :)

    you see i have put new cpu`s in 6 of them now and this is first that i have not had to change and its not been pink/pur


    put 2 gig in all and new cpu C2D


    just find it strange that i did not have to mod it for pins to fit in this as it just fited ah well they mite be useing difrent stock now or i mite of been drunk when i did the first 5 lol and they did not need to be fixed befor i got them :)

    hi, thanx been building/modding pc's since 87 so not reaaly new to the scene lol.

    could u post some pics of the socket that didnt need modifying and also describe how to modify the socket if it needs it and ill be happy to publish a full step by step guide. in the next few days (once iv upgraded this and a friends).
