I bought 3 of the USB 3.0 Express cards but ended up not using them - they were the usual push in push out type & whenever you plugged IN a usb cable/device then the card would UN plug itself - really annoying (to me anyway).

I have a 5315-2698 and have an Intel AC-Bluetooth card installed for wifi. The Bluetooth works, just only after you pop the pc out of sleep mode.

Hi, i have read a lot of this thread (thx) for a aspire 5315
    (Celeron CPU 550 @ 2GHz, 2GB RAM and 965 express chipset)

I have successfully flash the BIOS to v1.45 (acer website) for a T8300 "SLAPA" upgrade
All is ok and when the computer restart, he smile to me...

With a black screen (no BIOS screen) just the fan, led and hdd work.
When i roll back with the old CPU, the PC boot fine.

So i don't understand if this CPU are dead, not compatible or what i'm doing wrong ?

    Thanks for your help/support

Since your laptop came with a Merom core CPU, Penryn CPU won't work or it could be a faulty CPU, I would suggest you to get a faster Merom CPU from the link below.

A Penryn will definitely work. I am running a T9300 SLAYY CPU... this forum has lots of people who are also running Penryns in their 5315s!
