T7100 should work fine, probably the best place to buy one would be eBay, fidning notebook CPU's brand new from other sources can be fairly tricky.

    Hi guys,

I have another question about the bios.
In this thread, you are saying that you have to update the bios to v1.33.
I have v1.34, the latest version out now is v1.46, if I'm right.
Anyone experienced any problems with this version?
Or is this version safe to be installed without problems?

    Thanks! :)

EDIT: Latest version out now is v1.45.

    defeny the t8300;
its faster, (2.4 GHz VS 2 GHz)
    newer(2008, not 2007)
and uses 45nm instead of 65.(wich means more energy effeciency.)

    Hello,

I have a problem. I tried to upgrade the cpu of my acer 5315 but now it does not boot!

My laptop had a Intel Celeron M 530 (SLA2G) and I replaced it with a Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 (SLA4F). Previously I upgraded my bios to 1.45 so I don't understand why it doesn't boot...

    My motherboard is: ICL50 L07

    I have 1GB of RAM PC2-5300S-555-12.F1.667

Can the new CPU be damaged or something? I haven't read anything about this problem...

OK i have read through a vasy majority of this thread but I do have a question.

    1. CPUiD shows the socket as "Socket 479 mPGA" is that the same as socket P or socket m?

The reason why I am asking that is I have found some cheap socket P processors but the socket 479 I gotta do some searching for.

Now this upgrade is for the "Wife", I know I know trust me I know. Mainly Im just a little confused on the socket type and the FSB. Just need a little direction since im a cheapskate since its a acer 5315-2326.

Could be socket M as well( attachment), can you get the current cpu's number using HW monitor and post or the name from CPUID.

Just need to be 100% sure it will work with the wifes laptop.

Here are 2 screen of the CPU-Z showes for motherboard and CPU.

    Anyone????

Can it be that I have socket M? I read that all 5315 have socket P... And also my Celeron CPU SLA2G seems to be socket P according to CPU-World
