Hmm...I can get some from Ebay here in Australia.

See if you can find either Shin Etsu G751 or Shin Etsu X23. They'll do a better job anyway.

Depends on the cost. Both are good, though ICD7 tends to get a degree or two more than AS5 on average. If prices are similar, go for ICD7, else stick with the tried and true AS5.

Something you should also know about ICD - the diamond dust thats in it can scratch the surface its used on when you want to clean it off.

"IC Diamond" lists plenty of hits on ebay.

What is the top of the line thermal paste, anyway? I thought Arctic Silver was the most effective but see a lot of ICD 7 options on the various boutique sites I visit.

You can probably find data indicating every paste is the best.

From the results posted here, ICD7 is much more effective on the G73JH than AS is.

I used AS5 because I had some. Works great, but I run ~10C higher than many of the ICD7 results posted. I'm much more concerned with the temp curve over time than bragging about temps. As long as it flatlines in the 90s doing hours of FurMark extreme burn then I'm fine with that :)

I've found IC7 to be pretty much dummy proof for installing. AS5 can provide good results, but if not applied properly it can require repasting. IC7 on the other hand is very easy to apply.
