I found this immensely amusing. And absolutely accurate in all elements.

Hasn't Jobs been saying this since ... forever?

Meh if Windows is "doomed" I'll just switch my primary computer to Ubuntu. Oh, wait, already did that.

Yes....even linux is evolving that way....(ok, don't rush me!) in a very basic way....there are general similarities....I see a small decline in windows because of mac and linux. Let's check back in 5 years and see! haha

There was little to no jump, in reality, it's not that different, at all.

Jobs is still bitter that Bill Gates was the better pirate.

Meh. I'm not disillusioned with Windows. Windows is Windows. I hope it sticks around for a few reasons, but I think an increasing segment of the population will be migrating to Linux. It's just struck me the past few days how far Ubuntu has come since I hopped on board. :D

I have friends who are Linux burnouts, and predict my demise and turning to Mac OS. I'll get tired of having to fix everything, burn hours reading forums and compiling. But times were harder for them.

Now I can literally slap Ubuntu or Mint on my family's laptop in a few minutes and have something reliable and easy to use. I feel spoiled, reaping the benefits of developers and pioneers. That's why I want to install Arch and not lay back on fat, polished distros. But nonetheless, it stands. Linux is usable.

So, while I don't see Windows going anywhere soon, and I hope (and have confidence, actually) that Windows keeps competitive, I love Linux and the security it gives. It means freedom from Windows, or flexibility if needed. And I think it will expand. A free operating system with a community of users and developers? Sounds too good to be true.
