Can someone tell me exactly where in the bios I can shut off both my 970 graphic cards? Or give me a detailed run down on how to disable them from within windows? I would like to disable both to maximize battery life/reduce heat, while in bed. I would be GREATLY appreciative.

You can't do that in stock BIOS.
Also, the iGPU (Iris Pro 5200) in the 4870HQ is not enabled/connected, so if you disable both 970Ms you will have no graphics at all.
You can disable SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel to save some juice though.

It would be fantastic if Aorus could enable this feature in a future BIOS revision. Similar specification laptops (iGPU and battery capacity) last for 4-6 hours between charges...

To get the absolute maximum battery life and minimum heat whilst in bed you could also try sleeping ;)

It's because SLI with iGPU is not supported by nVidia so most manufactuers doesn't bother to enable it. But MSI's GT80 with SLI does allow you to switch to iGPU but required system reboot.

Just got my X7 yesterday. Wow, this thing is sexy. Been having a ball with it hooked up to a 1440P monitor playing all my games at full resolution. My old Alienware 14 gaming laptop would only score about 2600 in Firestrike. This one is slightly better. ;-) I do hear the fans from time to time but compared to my Alienware desktop its pretty quiet. That big tower would spin up like a dyson vacuum playing BF4 or COH2. So far I am impressed. Light, thin and fast. The perfect combo.

just ordered an X7-Pro off newEgg. Am a premier member, so can try it for free for a month. That's what I did when I just returned my MSI Gs60-4k
