    Hello,

I have a few issues with my laptop,

The screws are knackered on the heatsink and the keyboard is dead, a small splash of coffee went onto a key and somehow taken the whole thing out.

I've been given a quote of £420 to fix (ordering parts fix myself) - this is for a keyboard, GPU module, CPU module and bezel that apparently comes away with the keyboard? 166 for KB, modules at £32/£34 and the bezel £62 and 30 for shipping then VAT on top.

Either this or faced with flogging it semi functional but I don't think I'll get much more than £400 for it.

Would anyone else think it's worth fixing this? Feels like a hell of a lot to flush away on an outdated laptop.

I'd be hesitant to spend that much to fix it mostly because of the reason you stated: it's outdated.

It's possible that the liquid spill could have done other damage that you're not aware of, or won't become aware of until later on.

See if you can part anything out, otherwise I agree that it's time to move on.

Could I actually make much by parting it out?

Such a shame about the extortionate costs to repair

I decided to flog this, hoping someone will buy it for 350 which is generous of me considering the specs. Looking at 400 - 500 to repair.

I gace up trying to repair and purchases a HP Omen 15, Omen are much better than the Aorus series laptops.
