Just checking to see if anyone has used ghost surf or ghost surf platinum...

Can anyone tell me if these programs do what they claim?

    Is this a worthwhile investment?

    Thanks...

Maybe you could supply a link?
It looks as if people have no idea what you talk about... sometimes just from reading you can rule out certain aspects, sometimes you can't...

For example I have no idea what it is.

Ok, Antispyware - Security Software like my favorite, Kaspersky.

Anonymous surfing - well, servers log IP adresses, your ISP may...

So you really need a proxy server for pure anonymity - don't ask which - I don't know - and for that you don't need a paid for service...

I doubt its worth the money.

It includes many anonymous hubs and proxy servers, but I just emailed them (and got a reply within minutes) their products work with vista but not the 64 bit version !!! I get to spend money on something else now... Hmmmmm let's see now... Thanks...

OK :) Just search for proxy servers, and you can find free ones and set them up in your Internet Explorer for free...
    I think its slow though...

And honestly, you don't need them for honest business.

Also, you could use your IP as evidence if someone did try to steal your identity.

Thanks... You make a good point...

Not trying to hide---I am NOTAGEEK with a new notebook and the website looked interesting... Besides, some of us fraternal ungeeks think by having your ip address available it makes it easier to have your computer compromised or identity stolen...

    Thanks...

Having your IP address "visible" can make it easier - if you are targetted speciffically.

But unless you visit dubious sites that shouldn't be a aproblem.

Of course you could try a provider with a dynamic IP adress...
