SO the ice on a tree dropped on my car windshield side and left a crack. So now I have to get it repaired. I can replace the whole thing for about $250ish max, but i wanna see if its repairable anyone know a place to get check it out? Live in Northern Virginia, so anyone knows of a company that can check would be awesome.

How big is the crack? Safelite says they can fix up to 6" cracks.

well its more than 6 inches just looking at it. i measured it up to the teardrop on my car which is about 9inches or so then goes up another 3. so about a foot.

If it's that long then I don't believe it can be safely repaired. You might want to check out Safelite auto glass repair and replacement.

i have the best luck. first the windshield crack, now my front tire is torn from the inside, and the back tire that i got plugged in still leaks air so i have to replace both. I might have to use my nice rims but it lowers my car and theres so many potholes and speeds bumps here. I guess its my karma, i speed no tickets I drive carefully no accidents. But when im not driving the car someone hits it ruins the side door, nature- ice hits my windshield and cracks it, potholes are my #1 enemy with these rims.

Rule of thumb I have been given by my insurance company is that if a dollar bill will completely cover the crack, it is repairable. Otherwise replace.
