I am trying to update my old acer 7720 to the latest version of w10. I am on 1803 now. I have 1903 downloaded but its hanging at about 60 percent. Any ideas on how to get this done. The computer is nice and snappy on 1803 so I cannot see why it won't run on the new versions. TIA!

Try the media creation tool and download and install the latest version. It will probably be faster than incremental updates.

Ok, I will try that if it don't work this time. I looked at the specs and this ole beast still got it under the hood to run. I ran the "help tool" and it found a few errors so it's fixing it. I will keep you updated on the progress.

I tried the installation site, I never tried the media creation tool, I am thinking now I may just re install windows itself. I need to get this done somehow.

Awesome! So using the USB Installer for Windows 10 to force a manual upgrade is what fixed it?

Yes. Forced everything and it's like a new machine. It runs really good. Suprising. I was thinking since the macbook was so slow and laggy, this would be too. NOT the case. It skips along quite nicely. The only issue is those two drivers. I don't really care about that since the firewire and all other ports work great.

Awesome! If you had a good internet connection I would be able to fix those drivers for you but man the lag because of your connection was killing me. Let me know when you have better speed and I can easily fix those missing drivers for you. I know it doesn't matter but you know, OCD.
