2020 is going to have a slow start imo, as well as two product gens this year. There will be new 10th intel refreshes and hopefully new Ryzen models as that is picking up finally.

Likewise, we will have a second refresh when nvidia releases their 3000 GPUs, I think they will hit mobile maybe 3rd quarter of the year. I also don't know if AMD plans on releasing any new GPUs with their current RDNA. Maybe a 5600XT variant?

Well, seems like Ryzen is going to start hitting hard at mobile now.

Now I am interested in going amd fanboy like the past... I would love a Ryzen 4800H+5700M combo from MSI.

Absolutely! a 4800H and 5700m would be amazing, im guessing the performance of that laptop would be equal to a laptop with a 9980hk+rtx2070?
and knowing amd they will probably come in at a significantly less price for equal performance

Well the GE66 definitely has my attention. I liked the design of the GT76 and it’s basically a slimmer version. Good port selection and a 99wh battery? Sold. I’m hoping they don’t follow in Dells footsteps though. As in how the m15r2 was a mini area 51m, but a completely butchered version where mostly everything was soldered on. And please no more of this flipped motherboard nonsense.

Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for it to come out.

Also, dont forget the alienware area 51m motherboard is quite locked down so it does not allow for much overclocking at all. They advertise 5ghz but it only hits around 4.3, plenty of videos have shown this and it does feel like false advertising and lies
