As the title says. It is a promising series that's in need of an update.

So far only about 15u on the official page, couldn't find anything around the web. Searched a week ago as well, since the announcement of DELL's 7720 and 5520.

Technically the Zbook Studio G3 already has this, but it would be nice to see a Kaby Lake refresh. If they also made an optional large capacity battery in place of the second SSD, that would be really nice. I can already get 6+ hours of life with the 6700HQ IGP only model, be great to see a way to get over 10 hours.

Right, specifically I want kaby lake for battery life. An updated logo would be nice, too

    :) indeed.

Oh, and the Zbook Studio G3 also works great with the Akitio Node. I was finally able to get one earlier this month after a three month backorder. Full x4 PCIe 3.0 bandwidth and the machine works well both in Optimus mode and with a display hooked to the external monitor port.

HP pointing out the ZBook 15 being their best performer in the announcement of the G4 series, but then leaving it even in the G4 version only with 3-year-old maxwell quadros, in 2017.... ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
at least the ZBook 17 is up-to-date...

and when will they finally realize that just a few mid-high-end (and better) consumer gpus would be a giant cash cow for the ZBooks since their main price inflator are quadros/firepros, so opening them up for a broader user scope with cheaper consumer gpus that are still powerful enough (hence mid-high-end to top-end) for professional usage, or just for consumers wanting the best possible notebooks for their consumer usage including gaming, but avoiding their crappy consumer line and its support, would definitelly boost sales...
