    Hey guys,

I have decided to purchase this laptop, and am checking the Razer store daily to see if it is available yet.

    1. Razer's support is now 2nd to Apple. That being said, is it a safe bet to purchase this machine from Razer or should I wait to purchase it from Amazon?

    2. Is the Oled a good idea or not? I work in the creative / design industry, so an Oled with no backlight bleed, rich colours and rich contrast really gets me excited. However, is the technology at a point where we can safely avoid burn in? Also, in case the display does sustain any burn in down the line, will Warranty cover it and replace the panel?

Anyone else interested in this machine?

I’m interested on this Oled Blade 15, but damn that cost €3600 here, maybe wait forever till crash to 2K price tag lol. Alienware r13 is already use Oled over 2 years and I think I don’t see any user complaining about burn in, finger crossed that Blade Oled would be so as well. With kind of defective us burn in, if it’s electrical defect then it’s covered by Razer care if you buy it with this option. Idk about normal guarantee, maybe CS would have a better answer.
Yeah probably Oled will feed your need like this dude experience.

This is only if you call them with questions regarding software etc. This does not mean actual reliability and repair support. I recently bought the Blade 15 and received 1 unit that couldnt run on battery out of the box, still decided to use a Blade because there isnt any option for me on the market right now. But Razer has a pretty iffy trackredord when it comes to support. They do vow to do better. But especially outside of the US, this remains to be seen.

I had OLED on my Alienware 13R3 and loved it, but if I'm buying a gaming laptop, I don't know if I'd pay such a premium to get a 4K OLED panel on it especially since most of the time when I'm using it in a laptop mode (i.e. not connected to eGPU/desktop), I probably won't be benefitting from it. That being said, maybe 60hz is the right approach on the laptop since you don't tend to game at 100% when on the go... *shrug*

    absolutely no interest from me.

The razer blade is mainly a gaming laptop. Sure i do some work on it but mostly spreadsheets.

As a gamer, i have zero interest in 4k unless it's 100+hz. But then again, not even a rtx 2080ti can push 100+ fps on 4k.

i guess this is tailored for those who need to process videos and images.

Nope. Not even close buddy. http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...and-lied-to-paypal-about-recieving-it.827266/

If you buy from Razer be sure to buy from Amazon, Microsoft Store, Best Buy, or anywhere but Razer Directly. Most will give you 30 days instead of 14 to test out the laptop and return it if you run into a problem. Plus they won't lie to you if you're waiting over a month for a refund.

That being said yes I'm excited to see OLED screens coming around. I'd like to see them come in 17" as I'm getting old and don't as well as I used too. And maybe 120hz atleast. Or with g-sync.

Alot of members over in the Alienware forums claim their AW 13 with OLED are still running strong. So I think it's safe to say you will get long life out of an OLED panel. But, just keep in mind Burn in can't be prevented, only delayed. So be sure to read up on how to prolong its life for as long as you would own it.
