    :vbeek: That is horrifying.

Let's hope the fact that AMD was showing the Lenovo means that it can live up to its potential and be worthy of the CPU it is given.

Wonder how good the GPU that will come with it is going to be... probably going to be crap but hell, AMD has no chance with current architecture.. Zen can't come soon enough for it! These also need to release some high end mobile gaming GPU's ASAP before they become totally irrelevant in this space...

Shouldn't be too bad... I would expect it to be around $1000... Might even come close to a Y50/70...

I used to own a Llano ThinkPad E425, A8-3510MX and a 6470M dPUG. Dual graphics didn't really work at that time (or today :p), the dGPU was not great but the Llano CPU over clocked and increased performance making it quite snappy with an SSD and additional RAM. Only thing missing was a fhd ips display and backlit kb. That was such a nice well built simple multimedia laptop. Edge is not as good a the X series but okay for soho duty.

Will AMD (Carrizo) products ever make it to X series ThinkPad?

Most unlikely... Let's be honest, the X series is quite important for Lenovo and probably Intel's superior battery life is what is needed there and not AMD's extra graphics power... The X series is used by quite a lot of financial firms as laptops for staff for email etc...
