While this may be true "cripple" seems a little harsh; the C-60 simply wasn't available when the AO522 entered production.

I'm not actually having a poke at acer lol, I just would of liked it to be a bit more balanced, maybe a slightly better processor but a slightly worse graphics card would've been better, I still think its a smashing wee netbook though :)

sjac89, ok will give windows starter a go with one of the wallpaper hack tools. I guess its better than lots of faffing with xp.

You could try aero enabler, I believe it also unlocks wallpaper changing, Search for it on google :)

    It can't die!

I just bought this netbook from Buy.com for $200 refurbished.

So far I am VERY pleased. Right out of the box it is quite zippy. Can't wait to make my upgrades. :)

Thank you everyone for the awesome information in this thread!

I've been keeping an aye on this thread for quite a while.. really hoping that somebody figures out how to overclock the C-50. Right now, running Win 7 64, 4 GB RAM, and a 7200 RPM HDD, it's pretty decent, but could use a bit more pep.

We just need to find someone who knows how to make the overclocking module for the unlocked bios (And maybe we give him a small donation), Anyone know the best forum to find someone?? Or maybe the guy who makes brazostweaker can implement it???

As in many people who try OC E-350:
    "It's too complicated"
