I also can’t wait to see what laptops come with the new Ryzen mobile APU’s. It will most likely be my next purchase, if the laptop manufacturers don’t mess up

Given the information AMD released on Raven Ridge APU's with Vega igp's, I'm really impressed.
Perhaps I should have waited and gotten myself a laptop with that APU instead of Asus ROG GL702ZC that has Ryzen 1700 + RX 580 .
Obvious reasons would have been greater portability and much higher battery life while having roughly 50% of the performance of the Asus laptop... still, I don't really regret my purchase.
I wanted an all AMD laptop that's powerful, and I got that.

Perhaps I might also opt getting the Raven Ridge APU when it comes out and use my Asus as a primary machine for majority of productivity, gaming, etc. and then use the smaller Raven Ridge to share some of the workload for larger projects.
    Just a thought.
But I like the idea of supporting AMD further and also see HSA/HUMA implementation in wide variety of industry software. The benefits are immense for greatly accelerating workloads in programs like 3d Studio Max, Blender, etc. and avoid using extra setups.

I guess that Thinkpad E585 is the closest thing to a mobile workstation for now. Will be keeping my eyes peeled for it...
