Recently my Msi gs43vr broke down and now I'm looking for a new laptop.

My old laptop was pretty small considering his power and I loved it for that so the first 3 models I considered buying were the Aero 15x, MSI GS65 and the new Blade 15. Of that 3 I think that the Aero 5x is my favorite. But today I just saw a review of the new Aorus X7 and I was so impressed by it that I've started to have doubts.

The thing is that when I had my old laptop I needed to take it to work every day so it was required to be light and smaller than normal, but now I don't have to since I got a new laptop from my company.

So... Can you guys recommend any good thin but not too thin laptops? Or should I go straight for the Aero 15x?

    Cheers,
    Biklas7

    Depends on your budget

    Check these options:

Custom Built ASUS ROG Strix II GL504GS-DS74 Scar Edition - 15.6" FHD 144Hz w/ nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Custom Built ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501VI-XS74 Black - 15.6" FHD w/ nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q

Custom Built ASUS ROG Strix GL503VM-DB74 Hero - 15.6" FHD 120Hz w/ nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

but I personally really like the Aero 15X:

    Gigabyte Aero 15X v8-BK4 - 15.6" FHD 144Hz w/ GTX 1070 Max-Q

If you get it from HIDevolution then you are sure to get a laptop that performs great and doesn't overheat thanks to their awesome build quality and cooling mods.

Also, if you email donald@hidevolution.com you can get the NBR Forum discount

MSI GE63/GP63, Lenovo Legion Y530, HP Omen 15 (thin bezel version). Get GE63, it's the best laptop of the lot.

Thank you guys for all your suggestions.

I have one more question for you. Is the difference in performance between a 1070 max q and a full 1070 really noticeable? Or will I be OK with the max q one?

I'm asking because this is going to be a bug investment for me and I want the laptop that I shall choose to perform well for several years.

There is a difference, will the Max-Q be enough for today's games? Sure, but not as future proof as the full 1070 GTX:

I really liked the Asus Gl504gs with the full 1070 and those thin bezels but I don't know if it's available here in Portugal or in Europe. Do you know if HIDevolution ships to Europe? Will it have any problems passing customs?

Btw... Are there any good alternatives with slim bezels and thin chassis and a full 1070 like the GL504GS out there?

They do ship worldwide. I live in Dubai and I always get my laptops from them.

Why don't you email donald@hidevolution.com to ask him about the taxes and get more details.
