    FTC has deemed the use of "warranty void if removed" stickers and blocking the use of aftermarket repair parts illegal. Rejoice, DIY-ers!

    EDIT: Apparently, this controversy has been around for a while and only affects a small number of warranty cases. Forcing the warranty to stay intact when a product is used with a shoddy charger, for instance, would be an illogical consumer win.
