    opera 9.5:
    . impressive speed
. automatic search for within last entries and bookmarks for matching url
    . smooth page scrolling
. streaming video: some (almost all) sites show NOTHING
    . yahoo mail: function correctly.

    minefield (aka FF3):
. speed can be tweaked to match OP9.5
. automatic search is only within current browsing entries (lost the bookmarks check between nightly builds)
    . 13sep07 build:
    - yahoo mail: cannot delete/clean folders when a message is opened
    - yahoo mail: does not delete/clean folders automatically if the confirmation is being first asked. the dialog screen must first be closed
    - video streaming: on some sites, echoing & repeating, and still running in background even the page is being closed

i still have high hope for ff

    cheers ...

I'm alternately running Op9.5a, FF2.0.0.6, and IE7 alternately, to see if there is any connection between using one of the browsers and a freeze problem I have. Today, I am running IE7; but I have lots of time on the other two.

Op9.5a does not have a problem with streaming video on my machine.

FF does run video in background after I close the page but I haven't had echoing and repeating.

I don't use yahoo mail so I have nothing to add about that.

. O9.5a: streaming is ok now on my machine
. Minefield from last night build:
    - bombed with multiple tabs
    - yahoo mail still ongoing issues (other mails no problems)
    - keep forcing to be default browser after each update for the last 4 days, even though NO was being checked
    - video streaming issue is fixed

    cheers ...

    minefield (last night built)
    - awesome CNN video streaming, pic/audio quality excellent, no cracking or noticeable delay with multiple tabs
    - faster page rendering
    - hovering about 90k in task manager with 6 opened tabs
    - yahoo video streaming (news): echoing like 3 days ago, bombed the whole app
    - very quick recovery, no hung process, restore all connections correctly

    O9.5a
    - no new update

    cheers ...

    - no more hung after shutting down and spike in process

now if they only fixed the yahoo dingy and start to get the extensions and themes in

    cheers ...

    minefield aka ff3:
an interesting update from last night built, among other goodies still in testing:
    - Built in malware protection - a preview ( http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/its-an-attack.html )
    - support for web.based protocol handlers (web builders would love this)

    cheers ...
