Does ACHI matter when you have a RAID 0 setup?

Windows Performance rates my HD performance as a 5.9 with other components at 7+.

I ordered my laptop with 2 500GB SSD's in a RAID 0 setup. How can I increase its performance?

    Thanks!

I highly doubt you have 2, 500gb SSD's......you sure about that?

Yes I'm sure. I selected the options when building it so I'm pretty sure its 2 500GB SSD drives for a total of 1TB space in a RAID 0 setup.

    Is that not possible?

No Dell does not offer 500gb SSD's as a RAID option. You most likely have 500gb 7200rpm drives and from your performance rating of 5.9 I highy doubt they are in raid. When you boot your computer what does the Raid bios say? Does My computer show 2 drives or a single 1TB drive?

Dell 500gb SSD option is $500 for a single drive.

    Click start and type compmgmt.msc

Check under disk drives in device manager if it's western digital you ordered HDD's.

From you score i can tell you already it's HDD's.

See attached, my BIOS shows 2 drives and RAID 0 setup. My Computer shows 1 drive 1TB size.

In image 2 which is your invoice it has a spindle speed on the disks, listed as 7.2k rpm.

SSD's don't have spindle speeds. You ordered RAID 0 HDD's.

I'm afraid you can't. Raid 0 already gives the maximum performance for the HDD's.
