Just finished refurbishing an old M14x R2. The soft-touch LCD lid was heavily scratched and the soft-touch palmrest had gone sticky. I removed all of the old soft-touch and resprayed the lid gloss white, the palmrest matte white and the bottom cover in matte black.

Well done, looks great and I'm sure much better than the old sticky soft-touch!

Thanks, yeah it's much better now. The soft-touch is great, until it isn't.

¿Do u use any kind of automotive clear or something above the white paint to protect the paint?

Yes, I use a gloss or matte clear coat, depending on what I'm doing. I previously used the Rust-oleum clear but these days I'm using the Dulux Duramax
