    Currently I have 16gb of ddr4 2933mhz.

On the Dell site when I ordered, you could choose up to 64gb if 2933 or 32gb of 3200.

I'm no RAM expert, so is that the maximum of each? The max RAM is 64gb so instead of 32gb of 3200 could I go 64gb of 3200 with XMP?

The best RAM upgrade in your situation is 2x16GB or 2x32GB HyperX Impact 2933. By all accounts, you won't be able to get 3200 memory to work if you ordered 2933 initially.

Why couldn't I get it to work? XMP is triggered in the BIOS. Nothing special is different based on the hardware that comes with the Area-51M R2. Am I missing something?

You can try but users reported it doesn't work. Probably memory frequency is locked for the motherboard type associated with the memory type you purchased. Sounds crazy, right? Who would do that? Search the user's lounge if you want to double check.

Haha, I don't put anything past Dell after the soldered RAM debacle. Well that's interesting. If I knew that, I would have ordered the 3200mhz RAM. Oh well.

    Appreciate your help as always.

In HWInfo64, under Motherboard -> SMBIOS DMI -> Mainboard, what does it say for Mainboard Version (A00) and Serial Number. The serial number seems to be in a format of .<servicetag>.CNCMK00093004E, of which I believe the CNCMK part is the Dell part number. Just curious if yours is different. It may mean that the board is a new revision and may have better ram compatibility.

Screenshot_20210226-152320_Gallery.jpg Check this out though. States 3200mhz. And under Physical Memory Array it says memory capacity 32gb. Wouldn't that indicate I received the 3200 version or am I wishful thinking?

The System Summary window of HWInfo is cutoff - what does it say in the memory section, bottom right quadrant?

Here is the screen. Also, having some slow timespy CPU scores of 9000 when it should be 13 or 14k. Can you tell by this other screenshot if the processor is correct? It seems low in speed. Screenshot_20210226-180323_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20210226-180319_Gallery.jpg
