It requires both bricks no matter what to have full GPU performance. Clocks drop ~50% if any adapter is missing. (2 adapters is 1860Mhz, one adapter is 900-1100Mhz depending on game demand and power consumption)

CPU performance is max with single adapter still.

We've asked Frank and he said he'll see if there's possibility to reduce the amount of clock dropoff with single PSU. As of right now you'll want both PSUs.

Single PSU is enough for charging, using laptop normally, using CPU intensive tasks, having 50% of GPU power.

Keeping in mind this was tested with my i9-9900K + RTX 2080 set-up.

I have yet to see how much a 2070/i7-9700K and 2060 set-up clocks down by.

So if I'm going to the cafe to do smoke my hookah and watch YouTube + browse the web, do I need to take the small or big adapter? [IMG]

Why drag with you the 330w when you can't get more power from it?

    Small for now :p

Keep in mind, any game that can be played at 60fps 1080p at 50-60% 2080 performance is also fine.

Have you checked how much power you can pull from the wall? Both psu's. 330w should be good for +400W and at least 215w from the small one in benchmarks.

I want to, but I cannot find my kill-a-watt meter...if I find this weekend I'll check. Don't know where I put it.

Put same question in the Area-51m thread next time you post. Someone has to have one ready for testing:) Or better a UPS.

Unless you want reduction in core and mem clocks suddenly w/o any warning! Atleast that's what I would have preferred on battery but on single adapter its pointless and utter garbage. Its better to carry my thinkpad or any Pro refurb laptop that actually works when you're on-the-go.

So looking at your sig, you cancelled Area-51m and went m15? What was your final decision?
