    I Will perform testing next week but I expect a considerable improvement over the current one.

    Has it been tested to see what the thermals are like?

    I went ahead and just bought it anyways I figured what the heck I got my R5 as a display model at Best Buy for 600 bucks 1080 so figured I just take a chance

    You could buy the heatsink, and drill a hole yourself. Just make sure the Thread of the screw is not interfering with the copper of the heatsink, so it will only be tightened on the mobo itself, not in the heatsink.
    The only major difference between the R4 and R5 heatsinks are the position of the top screw located on the CPU side.
