    Hi guys , so now i am stuck between these two laptops. Alienware 17 R2 and MSI GE72 pro ( GE not GT )

    And The specs of each one are:

    Alienware 17 R2 "

    17.3 inch FHD IPS Anti-Glare Matte Screen (1920 x 1080)

    4th Generation Intel® Mobile Core i7-4710HQ Haswell Processor

    1TB 5400RPM

    NVIDIA® Geforce™ GTX 970M (3.0GB) GDDR5

    16 GB Ram DDR3

    Size: 16.93" (w) x 11.49" (d) x 1.35" (h)
    Weight:8.33 lbs ( 3.7 KG )

    ==================================================

    MSI GE72 pro :

    17.3" FHD IPS (16:9) Anti-Glare Matte-Type Screen (1920x1080)

    5th Generation Intel® Mobile Core i7-5700HQ Broadwell

    1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive

    NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 970M GDDR5 (3.0GB)

    (16GB) DDR3

    Size: 16.49" (w) x 11.02" (d) x 1.14" (h)
    Weight: 5.95 lbs (2.7 KG) with 6-cell Battery

    =====================================================

    I really like both laptops , but in the end i have to choose

    both laptop have a similar price , and specs ( but msi have the 5th Generation Intel )

    and the most important things to me is : cooling , and weight .

    ( i already read some reviews on the Alienware 17 R2 , and i saw that there is a heating , throttling problems , but i want to know , is it that big and real problems would any body still recommend this laptop ?

    the second thing is about the weight because i move a lot , will it be a big difference between msi and alienware ?

    and what about the MSI , its new laptop , so there is not very much reviews for the 970m version , and i heard that this laptop come with a 150W PSU , is this good psu for the 970m and the cpu ? or its not good )

    thanks in advance .

    Buy the Msi laptop with the 230w psu and g-sync monitor. A better choice or buy a stronger psu.

    this is the first problem , the msi ge 72 only availble with a 150 psu , the second problem is i cant buy the other msi like ( GT 72 ) its in the same price as GE 72 , but its too heavy ( 4 KG )

    while the msi GE72 is ( 2.7 KG )

    do you know another good and slim 17" gaming laptop ?

    and if you dont know , will the 150 psu be a problem ? or it will be fine ?

    150w psu is to weak. Take a look in the Clevo tread and ask for help. Clevo laptops is cheap and a good laptop. The best choice nowadays. Clevo have several models you can look at. Get a good advice.. Don't buy the new line Aw laptops.

    The 150w PSU won't be a problem unless you begin to overclock the system then yes, it will be. The sager 8651-s at xoticpc would be an excellent choice and I believe is around $1400.

    I think that you had some bad experience in the new alienware , and I can see why , I think I will forget about it , in the other hand , the sager laptop is very good , but the problem is in the warranty , you see , I live in Dubai , so there is no sager warranty there , and this is awful, I wanted the sager n8671 before , but I changed my mind because of the warranty

    I will not make any overclock on the laptop , but can you tell my why its not a problem?
    In alienware 17 everyone complain because of the 180w psu for the 970m , and in msi its a 150w , but there is no problem ? That's very strange !!

    And about the sager , I like the sager laptops , but they don't offer warranty in my country

    I don't have or had the new throttling machine. I have Aw17R1. I have read several forum and treads about the new laptop and all the problems so I don't want to touch this crapp.
