I have a 2013 model Alienware 17 with a gtx 765m and a i7-4700mq. im planning on upgrading the graphics card to a 980m or a 1060 and the cpu to a i7-4900mq. I was also planning on upgrading the screen to at least a 1080p because at the moment of posting this i only have the 900p screen. anyway i'm having a very hard time figuring out what screen to buy and if its worth it to buy a 120hz version. I have been looking and found a lot of screens on ali express like this one :

but i dont know if this will work. i'm pretty new to laptop modding. i have build a lot of towers and itx builds but never any laptops. any help would be greatly appreciated.

4900MQ is a good CPU, although for overclocking you want the 4930MX or 4940MX QS. If you want the 1060 or 1070, you need either the 120HZ screen or the unlocked BIOS
I'd recommend the 980M over the 1060, it can be found for ~$350 now a days. The. 1070 is ~$600 or so. The model number of the 120HZ screen is LTN173HT02 if I remember correctly, you also need the eDP cable from the motherboard to the screen
All of this has been done multiple times, so other people can guide you through it
A cheap upgrade would be the M6100 and 4800MQ
