    Hi everyone,
    I currently have a Alienware 15 R3 (6820HK + 1070) with 4K IGZO screen.
Unfortunately screen has a huge burn mark in the upper left corner: previous owner let it on a dos page and the white markings are now permanent.
I tried different things to remove the burn marks but it does not work.
I bought a 1080p 144Hz IPS screen for cheap (B156HAN08) and I intend to try it on my Alienware.
Has anyone ever succeeded such a screen replacement?
Alienware m15 supports it but I'm not sure about 15 R3/R4. As I can see, they only support 1080p@120Hz....
    Any advice?

The panel you bought doesnt fit.... Thats a thin bez style panel with different mountings.

My mistake, panel is B156HAN07.0. Is it also a thin bezel style panel?
    Thanks

EDIT: it does not seem like a thin bez one, as it is fitted on Aorus x5 v8

it seems to be with normal mounting points, but i doubt the screen settings are stored in bios for it to work correctly. Some replacement panels do fit but you lose brightness control and or it turns black as soon when you install the nvidia drivers.

Actually it does not fit. 40pin connector has 0.5mm pitch. The 4k oled currently installed has 0.4mm pitch so cable is not pin compatible.
