AHCI in SSD by optical bay caddy??

    can getting ahci performance with Windows 7 installed on optical bay caddy?

    You can enable AHCI mode for the SSD installed in the optical bay, but keep in mind that if you have an older model (like I have), the performance will be limited by the SATA controller on board. If the controller is SATA 2, putting a SATA 3 SSD will give SATA 2 performance.

    You can also select RAID mode in the BIOS even though you have just the one SSD/HDD. The RAID controller will not actually build a RAID, but will interface with the drive rather well.
